Photography at Oregon’s Last Friday Movie Night for the summer of 2024 will be on June 28 at the Don Dexter Gallery in Crescent Village, off Crescent Avenue in northeast Eugene.
The main feature will be Fill the Frame: A new street-photography documentary, which is a debut feature film by Tim Huynh.
But before that, at 6:45 p.m., Linda Devenow continues her Last Friday Feature, a short Sneak Peek slide show that showcases the work of perhaps lesser known photographers who nonetheless are doing interesting and inspiring work.
And there will be snacks and conversation.
Here’s Huynh’s description of his film:
“Photography is a vehicle for storytelling; capturing a moment in time yet allowing for endless possibilities of interpretation.
“Fill The Frame is a feature documentary telling a story not only within the frame of photographs, but of the people behind the camera. This film follows eight esteemed street photographers in New York to get an exclusive look at their work and their own unique journey over the years.
“You don’t have to be a fan of photography to enjoy this film.
My hope is that you’ll find a story that will resonate with you, to help fuel your own passions and fulfill your own dreams.”
After this session of Last Friday Movie Night, the group will take a vacation, resuming in September.

Where: Don Dexter Gallery, 2911 Tennyson Ave., Room 202, Eugene (in Crescent Village off Crescent Ave.; enter on the east side of the Inkwell building, take the elevator to the second floor, and the gallery is across the hallway.
